Tan Feng,Professor, Graduate Supervisor at Beijing University of Agriculture.She graduated from the Fermentation Engineering program at Tianjin University of Science and Technology in 1985 and began teaching in the Department of Food Science at Beijing University of Agriculture the same year. She has served as Head of the Department of Food Science, Discipline Leader in Food Science and Engineering, Dean of the International College, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the International College, and Director of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs. In 2001, she received the First Prize for Higher Education Teaching Achievement from the Beijing Municipal Government. In 2017, she was honored with the title of Beijing Outstanding Teacher.
She has previously taught courses including Beverage Technology, Food Technology, Food Packaging, Food Biotechnology, Global Food Production and Quality, and Applied Microbiology. She currently teaches Food Processing, Preservation and Packaging, Introduction to Food Science and Biotechnology, Research Methods, and the Nature of Food.
Research Areas:In the field of teaching reform, her current research focuses on educational models for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, including the introduction of high-quality foreign educational resources, as well as reforms in educational philosophy, teaching systems, teaching and assessment methods, quality management, and teaching administration. In the field of scientific research, her work involves food fermentation, food safety, and quality management. Her current research interests include microbial contamination in fresh food supply chains, as well as food quality management and safety control.
Research Activity:In recent years, she has published one monograph and over ten papers.
