Taking the strawberry, a model plant for non-respiratory climacteric fruit research, as the research object, the team focuses on studying the molecular mechanism of quality formation and regulation. They have revealed the physiological and molecular basis of abscisic acid regulation in strawberry fruit ripening and have innovatively proposed a signal transduction molecular model for the maturation of non-respiratory climacteric fruits. The findings have been published in over 10 high-level research papers in leading journals such as Nature, Plant Physiology, Plant Cell and Environment, Journal of Experimental Botany, and Horticulture Research. These studies have revealed the molecular mechanism by which abscisic acid and mineral nutrients regulate fruit quality formation, and the findings have received widespread attention both domestically and internationally.
