I. Personal information

Tieqiang Zhang, born in Beijing.Graduated from Beijing University of Agriculture in August 1983.Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee, Beijing University of Agriculture.Associate Professor of Horticulture, Department of Horticulture, Master’s Supervisor.Member of the Expert Committee of China Jujube Network, Director of Beijing Rural Professional Technology Association, Expert of Beijing Science and Technology Rural Agriculture Expert Group.

II. Research interests

Long-term engaged in fruit tree teaching, scientific research and popularization.Presided over and participated in research projects on fruit tree planting technology from National Forestry Administration, Beijing Landscape and Greening Bureau, Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission.Currently engaged in research on jujube variety resources and breeding & popularization of new varieties in Beijing.

III. Major Achievements

1. Won the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Award (2010) for the project Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies for Efficient Ecological Regulation of Jujube Forest.

2. Won the First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award (2011) for the project Research and Demonstration of Plant Acaricidal Active Substances.

3. Obtained Science and Technology Achievement Certificates from the Ministry of Education (2010) for Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies for High-Quality Ecological Safety of Fruit Products in Beijing Mountainous Areas and Research on the Effects of Intercropping in Organic Sightseeing Orchards on Pests and Ecological Environment.

4. Awarded honors including Advanced Individual of National Science and Education for Village Revitalization, Advanced Individual of Beijing Science Popularization, Advanced Individual of Beijing Popular Science Benefiting Farmers and Revitalizing Villages, and Top Ten Models of Serving Suburbs of Beijing by Beijing University of Agriculture.

5. Editor-in-chief of Beijing Fruit Tree Records·Jujube Records, Jujube Cultivation.

6. Participated in compiling Fruit Tree Pests and Integrated Control.

7. Presided over drafting the national occupational standard Agricultural Experimental Worker.

8. Participated in drafting the national agricultural industry standard Pollution-Free Food Fresh Grape and Beijing local standard Comprehensive Technology for Pollution-Free Jujube Production.
