I. Personal information

Yujing Hu, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor.Born in Zhoukou, Henan Province.Young Researcher, Advanced Innovation Center for Tree Breeding by Molecular Design.

Received Master of Agriculture degree in Horticulture from College of Plant Science and Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture, 2010-2012.Received Ph.D. in Microbiology from College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University, 2012-2016.Conducted postdoctoral research at Beijing Beinong Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. and China Agricultural University, 2016-2018, focusing on innovation and utilization of apple germplasm resources.

II. Research interests

Improvement of high-quality, high-yield and stress resistance of apple.

III. Research Projects

Presided over 1 Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 General Project of Science and Technology Plan of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, 1 Beijing Postdoctoral Fund Project, 1 "Spark Action" Support Program for Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation of Beijing University of Agriculture.

IV. Major Achievements

Achieved certain results in color formation mechanism, quality regulation and stress regulation mechanism of Malus plants.Published 14 papers, including 12 SCI papers.Obtained 2 national invention patents.Published 12 SCI papers as co-first author or corresponding author in journals including New Phytologist, Journal of Advanced Research, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Ornamental Plant Research, Frontiers in Microbiology, Scientific Reports, Process Biochemistry, HortScience.Participated in breeding 4 new Malus varieties, formulating 2 Beijing local standards, authorizing 2 invention patents and 6 utility model patents.Won 5 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards as participant.
