I. Personal information
Jiantian Gu, native of Yizhang, Hunan Province. Member of China Democratic National Construction Association.
Graduated from Department of Horticulture, Hunan Agricultural College (now College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Hunan Agricultural University) with a bachelor’s degree in 1985.Graduated from Department of Horticulture, Zhejiang Agricultural University (now College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University) with a master’s degree in 1991.Associate Professor of Vegetable Science, Department of Horticulture, College of Plant Science and Technology, Master’s Supervisor.Selected by China Scholarship Council to study and visit at Budapest Corvinus University, Hungary, from October 2007 to August 2008.
II. Research interests
Teaching and research related to horticultural plant resources; research and utilization of vegetable germplasm resources.
III. Major Achievements
Participated in the research project "Bud Vegetables and Their Standardized Production Technology", won the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Ministry of Agriculture in 1997 (8th completer), and the Third Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 1999.Published 40 papers in journals including Plant Physiology Journal, Science and Technology Review, Biological Conservation, Acta Agriculturae Boreali-Sinica, Acta Horticulturae.Co-edited textbooks including Horticultural Plant Germplasm Resources and Landscape Plant Physiology (Beijing Excellent Textbooks, National 11th Five-Year Plan Textbooks).
