I. Personal information

Qinghua Dong, male, born in Shouguang, Shandong Province, Master, Professor, Member of Agriculture, Forestry and Specialized Committee of Jiusan Society Central Committee.Graduated from Department of Horticulture, Beijing Agricultural University, majoring in Pomology in July 1992.

He has been a full-time teacher in Beijing University of Agriculture since graduation.He is currently a Professor and Master Supervisor of College of Plant Science and Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture.Studied as a part-time doctoral student majoring in Pomology at China Agricultural University from September 1995 to July 1998.Worked as Assistant Director of Agricultural Committee of Huairou District, Beijing from December 2008 to December 2009.Served as Vice Dean of College of Plant Science and Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture from October 2011 to April 2017.

II. Research interests

Protected Horticulture and Fruit Development Regulation, Urban Horticulture and Planning of Agricultural Parks.

III. Major Achievements

In teaching: Won the First Prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award in September 2013; Participated in compiling 3 national planning textbooks including Tourism Horticulture.

In scientific research: Won the Third Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award in January 2014 and the Second Prize of Natural Science Award of Beijing Science and Technology Award in August 2020.Edited or participated in compiling 3 works including Leisure Horticulture: Potted Fruit Trees, Grape Genetic Breeding and Genomics, Wild Fruit Trees in Beijing.Edited 10 popular science works including Strawberry Cultivation Technology Q&A, High-quality and Efficient Grape Cultivation.Published more than 30 papers, including 5 SCI papers.Supervised more than 50 postgraduate students.
