Guangfa Tong, Ph.D, Professor, Department of Law in College of Humanities and Urban-Rural Development.

Prof. Tong is deputy director of the Environmental Law Association of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, secretary-general of the Environmental Law Association of Beijing Law Society, council of Beijing Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Society and also part-time Lawyer of Beijing Globe-Law Firm, arbitrator of the Beihai International Arbitration Court and Xinyang Arbitration Court, expert member of Mediation Center of New Plant Variety Dispute of Globe-Law Firm.

III. Research Projects

He has presided or participated more than 20 projects, among which the most important are:

1. On Biodiversity Conservation Issues under the Kunmeng Framework, which the China Association for Science and Technology has commissioned the China Forestry Society (2024)

2. On the Planning and Development of Shandixia Village Characteristics in Xiangying Township, Yanqing District, Funded by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2023).

3. Tracking, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Comprehensive Agricultural Law Enforcement Demonstration Creation, Funded by Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2022).

4. On Preventive Environmental Public Interest Litigation, Funded by the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the European Environmental Protection Association (2020-2021).

5. On how to revise the regulations on the Protection of Wild Plants, Funded by Department of National Forest and Grass (2018-2020).  

6. On the Legal System for Eco-Compensation in Beijing (Key Project), Funded by Beijing Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science (2015-2016).

1. Second Prize of the Advisory Service Report Award of the Eighth Scientific Research Excellence Award of Colleges and Universities, Given by Department of Education of PRC in 2020.

2. Second Prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement, Given by Beijing Municipal People's Government in 2018.

3. First Prize of Higher Education Teaching Achievement in 2017.
