During the lunch, Wu Yan had in-depth exchanges with Ms. Alison Dell, Minister-Counsellor for Education and Research at Australian Embassy, China, sharing BUA’s fruitful results in its collaboration with Australian universities and colleges, particularly of the “3+1” cooperative education program carried out with the Edith Cowan University for undergraduates majoring in agricultural resources and environment (environmental management) since 2012. She noted that BUA has been committed to cultivating high-caliber agricultural talents with a global vision and strong innovation capabilities, and expected deeper cooperation with the Australian side to jointly advance the progress and development of agricultural education.

Going ahead, BUA will further deepen the cooperation with Australia universities and colleges, and, centering around the strategic goal of “BUA Global Strategic Partnership Program”, drive the building of international disciplines with urban agricultural and forestry characteristics and the upgrading of the talent cultivation system, so as to inject new impetus to China-Australia cooperation on agriculture and education.
