On April 25, Professor Luiz Gustavo Nussio from the University of São Paulo, Brazil visited BUA. Wu Yan, Vice President and the member of the CPC Standing Committee of the University, met with the visiting professor. Both sides discussed and exchange views on deepening cooperation.
On behalf of BUA, Wu Yan warmly welcomed Professor Luiz Gustavo Nussio on his visit. She commented that the University of São Paulo, as a top institution of higher education in Brazil, is at the global forefront in fields such as agronomy and life sciences. Beijing University of Agriculture, as the only undergraduate-level agricultural and forestry university directly under the Beijing Municipality, has developed the distinctive characteristic of "metropolitan modern agricultural and forestry higher education." She looked forward to more substantive cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and scientific research between the two universities.
Both sides reviewed the cooperation and exchange history between the two universities, believing that they have a solid foundation for further collaboration. They hoped that a deeply integrated academic exchange system could be developed, to break down disciplinary boundaries, stimulate innovation and explore frontiers through regular seminars. Diverse student exchange programs should be carried out to broaden students' horizons and develop interdisciplinary talents through exchange studies. We should continue to share resources and complementary strengths, to ensure sustainability and quality in academic research and talent cultivation.
