On March 31, 2025, a team from the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) in New Zealand visited BUA. Both sides held talks on how to reinforce the bilateral cooperation in the morning. Attending the meeting were He Zhongwei, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Guo Kaijun, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Zhao Hanqing, Deputy Dean of College of Bioscience and Resource Environment, Wei Ying, Deputy Dean of College of Food Science and Engineering, Professor Li Hucheng from the Department of Horticulture, College of Plant Science and Technology, as well as Ao Riga, Head of the Comprehensive Affairs Section of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and Wang Jingjing and Yin Mengyuan, members of the Comprehensive Affairs Section of International Cooperation and Exchange Office. The meeting was chaired by Ao Riga.

During the talks, He Zhongwei first extended a warm welcome to the visiting team. He noted that over the last decade of cooperation, more than 30 teachers and students have participated in the exchange program at NMIT, achieving fruitful results. He also expressed the hope for further cooperation. John Stuart Inglis, Director of NMIT's International Office, said the university attaches great importance to its cooperation with BUA, and promised constant efforts to bolster the foundation for cooperation and expand the scope of cooperation.
