The "Key Laboratory of Agricultural Product Processing and Quality Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (Ministry-Province Co-construction)" is one of the first key laboratories selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2022, and constructed with the Beijing University of Agriculture as an independent supporting unit in accordance with the principle of "Ministry-Province Co-construction and Lead by the Province". Relying on the first-level disciplines of Food Science and Engineering, Crop Science, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry of Beijing University of Agriculture, the platform gives full play to the long-accumulated technological advantages and industrial influence of the above disciplines in the fields of agricultural products, food processing and preservation, takes agricultural products, such as vegetables, fruits, livestock, poultry and aquatic products, etc., as the objects of research, focuses on the processing, quality control and safety management technologies of agricultural products, and forms the technological advantages of the whole industrial chain from raw materials, processing, distribution to the table, providing strong scientific and technological support and expertise for the healthy development of the agro-processing industry.
