With focus on the economic theory and policy of urban agriculture, the team mainly studies the multi-functional expansion of urban agriculture, new industries and new forms of business, leisure agriculture and rural tourism, agricultural heritage, and the policy support system, etc., and explores its industrial structure, development mechanism, and operation mode. In recent years, it has undertaken annual monitoring and evaluation for national urban agriculture, leisure agriculture, Beijing Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zones and Modern Agricultural Industrial Parks, etc.; proposed the theoretical systems for urban agriculture, valley economy, exhibition agriculture, etc., and provided the theoretical support and policy advice for the development of national urban agriculture. In 2021, team members undertook 17 projects of various types, with total project funding reaching RMB 2.765 million. In 2021, Mr. Li Hua was invited as an expert to be a consultant on the People's Education Channel. In 2021, team members completed two non-textbook books or edited books as first authors, in addition to co-authoring or editing several monographs.
