The center of livestock and poultry health breeding research of Beijing Agricultural University and the sub center ofBiochip Beijing National Engineering Research Center is an important research base for veterinary science and key disciplines in Beijing. It is also a scientific research platform for transforming modern biotechnology into clinical veterinary testing, diagnosis and other social and economic fields.

The center currently has 7 researchers and technicians, including 5 with senior titles and 7 with doctoral degrees. Microfluidic gene chips are mainly used to carry out molecular diagnosis and precision medicine. The molecular mechanism of animal diseases is studied from the aspects of genome and proteome. Breeding animals and pet viruses, bacteria, drug resistance genes, genetic diseases and other related tests and screening are carried out.Independent intellectual property testing instruments and chips have been developed and used.

The livestock and poultry health breeding research center of Beijing Agricultural University faces the international biotechnology frontier and has aninterdisciplinary and reasonable knowledge structure. It is a genetic testing learning and research training base forinternationalstudents and postgraduates to cultivate high-level talents with excellent foundation, scientific research and innovation ability, practical ability and scientific research quality.

The center actively cooperates with biochip Beijing National Engineering Research Center, Tsinghua University School of medicine, Beijing Boao biological Co., Ltd. and local high-level medical institutions to build a high-level, comprehensive and open combination of production, learning and research, serve the animal husbandry and veterinary economy in Beijing, Thecenter is fully open, absorbing high-quality talents at home and abroad, improving the research level and the speed of discipline development.

The center for livestock and poultry health breeding research will identify the direction for basic research, clinical research, product development and industrialization, make solid progress, and comprehensively carry out the industrialization of biochip research.
