Curriculum Vitae

I. Personal information

Kaijun Guo, Ph.D, Professor, doctoral supervisor.

Deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office. PI of the Smart Farming Science and Engeering Direction, the College of Animal Science and Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA).

Prof. Guo is the coordinator of the International Animal Recording Committee in China, a member of the Expert Committee of the National Beef Cattle Breed Genetic Improvement Program, one of the executive members of the Cattle Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and secretary-general of the  Professional Committee for Animal Recording of the National Animal Husbandry Science and Technology Innovation Alliance.

II. Research interests

Establishment of the whole Industry Chain Recording System of International Standard for Ruminant production, animal nutrition and healthy farming, research and development of natural plant extracts.

III. Research Projects

He has presided over more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial projects, among which the most important are:

1. Integrated experimental station of Beijing Livestock Innovation Team (BAIC05-2023/2024).

2. Expert of dairy cattle production standard & system establishment of Beijing Dairy Cattle Innovation Team (BAIC06-2017-2022).

3. Introduction and Demonstration of International Standard Recording Technology for Dairy Cattle Production. Sub-project of Major R&D Program of Ministry of Science and Technology (2018YFD0501603-05).

4. Demonstration and Extension of German Simmental Cattle. International Cooperation project in Agriculture granted by the  Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2034115150).

5. Cattle Breeding Data Collection and Analysis granted by the National Animal Husbandry severce 2034115140)。

IV. Major Achievements

He published more than 70 articles, and won 5 provincial and ministerial awards, among which the most important are:

(Ⅰ) Major prize-winning achievements

1. Digital and Intelligent Technology Innovation and Application of the Whole Dairy Cow Industry Chain, won the third prize of the Beijing Agricultural Science and Technology Promotion Award in 2023 (1/10).

2. Second prize of National Harvest Award for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China in 2022 (6/20).

3. Poverty Alleviation Commendation issed by Beijing Municipal Education Commission in 2021.
