On the afternoon of April 23, 2026, a delegation headed by Nikolče Jankulovski, Deputy Minister of Finance of North Macedonia, paid a visit to BUA. The two sides had in-depth discussions on topics including the cultivation of agricultural talents, cooperation on agricultural science and technology, and international exchanges. BUA's Vice President Wu Yan attended the meeting, along with representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, College of Continuing Education (College of Rural Revitalization), College of Food Science and Engineering, and College of Intelligent Science and Engineering.

Wu Yan extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She noted that as the exchanges between China and North Macedonia become increasingly close, agriculture grows as an even more vital bond of bilateral cooperation. She provided an overview of BUA's educational features and disciplinary strengths in urban agriculture and forestry, highlighting its rich experience in the cultivation of agricultural science and technology talents, training of rural officials, and collaborative educational programs between eastern and western regions. She also outlined BUA's distinct advantages in fields such as food processing, smart agriculture, and animal epidemic prevention and control, as well as its exploration and achievements in international cooperation on agricultural talent cultivation. She mentioned that China and North Macedonia have maintained close ties since establishing diplomatic relations in 1993, and BUA once reached a cooperation consensus with the University of Skopje in 2018. She expressed hope that both sides will leverage this visit to kickstart deeper collaboration in agricultural talent education, technological exchanges and scientific research, and contribute to the Belt and Road cooperation in agricultural education.

Deputy Minister Nikolče Jankulovski expressed his gratitude to BUA for its warm reception, and introduced North Macedonia's agricultural development, needs for agricultural talents and intentions for international cooperation. He highlighted his country's aspiration to learn from China's modern agricultural technologies, precision agriculture, and the application of AI in agriculture. He sang high praise for BUA's sound agricultural talent training system, and expressed desire to strengthen practical cooperation in agricultural technology, talent education and rural development, so as to promote deeper and more substantive exchanges between the two countries in agricultural education.

After that, both sides exchanged views on agricultural science and technology training, joint talent training, as well as cooperation models and implementation approaches.
