Major research areas: R&D(Resistance and Plant-derived Pesticides)and Application of Green Plant Protection Products
Features: To ensure the safety of agricultural products and meet the quality and safety needs of the ecological environment, the team is engaged in R&D of green pest control products, including plant-derived pesticides, green chemical synthetic pesticides and nano-pesticides, etc., environmental behaviour study and safety assessment of the application of plant protection products, etc., and development of a system of products and technologies for green and efficient production of the agroforestry industries in Beijing.
Strengths: Taking the capital's speciality crop pests and diseases as the target, the team has established a foundation for R&D in plant-derived fungicides, green acaricides, synthesis of nano-pesticides, and new pesticide residue detection products, etc.; meanwhile, taking the environmental safety as the entry point, it has also carried out some environmental impact and risk assessments. The team has undertaken a number of national, provincial, ministerial and horizontal projects, published several SCI papers and obtained several invention patents.

In 2023, at the invitation of the DPG and the TU Kaiserslaute, Associate Professor Bi Yang from the College of Bioscience and Resource Environment participated in the "20th International Symposium on Modern Fungicides and Antimicrobial Compounds" in Reinhardsbrunn, Germany, and conducted academic exchanges at TU Kaiserslaute.
