I. Introduction to the Innovative Practice Program for High-Level International Talent Training
The Innovative Practice Program for High-Level International Talent Training (hereinafter referred to as the "High-Level Program") was launched at Beijing University of Agriculture in 2022. Under the program, the following six major activities have been carried out: career planning and academic frontier lectures for international civil servants, online courses on global governance and PBL interdisciplinary studies, international organization training programs, faculty development services, the SDGs China Sustainable Development Advocates initiative, and research sub-projects with dual mentors from China and abroad. The program operates in the form of a virtual academy and adopts a layered, progressive training model. Integrating elective course modules and practical training components from BUA's talent training program, it aims to build a "specialized field + global competency" international organization talent training system with a focus on "urban agriculture". Each year, no more than 50 students are selected from the entire university to undergo intensive training in the virtual academy.
