I. International Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program for the Grape and Wine Industry
(1) Selection quota: 1 visiting scholar, 3 jointly trained master's students and 1 master's degree candidate.
(2) Host institutions: The visiting scholar and jointly trained master's students will study at Harper Adams University (UK), Lincoln University (New Zealand) and Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (New Zealand), while the master's degree candidate will study at Harper Adams University (UK).
(3) Fields of study: Food Science and Engineering, Horticulture, Agricultural & Forestry Economics and Management, and Bioengineering.
II. International Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program for Animal Health and Breeding
(1) Selection quota: 1 visiting scholar and 2 jointly trained master's students.
(2) Host institutions: University of Torino (Italy) and University of Padova (Italy).
(3) Fields of study: Economic Management, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, Food Processing, and related fields.
III. Funding and Expenses
1. The China Scholarship Council will provide admitted candidates with a one-time round-trip international travel fee and a scholarship for the specified period (covering living expenses, accommodation fee, registration fee, transportation fee, telephone fees, book and material fees, medical insurance premiums, social fees, a one-time settlement allowance, visa extension fees, pocket money, and subsidies for academic activities). BUA will establish a special fund to subsidize the tuition fees for admitted master's students.
2. The tuition for studying abroad will be subject to the admission notice from the foreign institution.
IV. Application Requirements
1. Applicants must hold Chinese citizenship and not have permanent residency abroad. They shall love their socialist motherland, have good moral character and political qualities, and have no criminal record. They shall be physically and mentally healthy. Selected students shall have a strong willingness to return to work in the agricultural and rural sector after completing their studies. Preference will be given to students who have a prospective employment unit in the agricultural and rural sector before being selected.
2. Applicants shall be current master's students or on-the-job teachers at BUA, with a solid professional foundation, strong learning, research and work abilities, good overall qualities, excellent academic performance or outstanding work achievements, and strong development potential.
3. Postgraduate applicants must be 25 years old or below, and on-the-job teacher applicants must be 50 years old or below in principle.
4. The applicant's field of study or teaching must match the designated fields set by the China Scholarship Council. Priority will be given to teachers and graduate students engaged in frontline teaching and research in the grape and wine industry for the "International Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program for the Grape and Wine Industry" and those engaged in frontline animal husbandry and veterinary fields for the "
International Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program for Animal Health and Breeding".
5. Language proficiency: Selection will be based on the language proficiency requirements for government-funded study abroad programs set by the China Scholarship Council. For details, see: https://www.csc.edu.cn/article/2514.
Note: Applications will not be accepted under the following circumstances: if the applicant has already received a full scholarship from a foreign institution; if the applicant has obtained a government-funded study abroad qualification that is still valid; if the applicant has applied for a government-funded study abroad program and has not yet received the results; if the applicant has previously obtained a government-funded study abroad qualification and abandoned it without the approval of the China Scholarship Council within the past five years, or abandoned it with the approval of the China Scholarship Council within the past two years; if the applicant has previously received funding from the China Scholarship Council for studying abroad and has not yet completed the required two-year service upon returning to China.
