I.  Personal Information

Jinhuan Dou, Ph.D., Master’s Supervisor, is a faculty member at the College of Animal Science and Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA). She serves as Head of the Teaching and Research Office and Publicity Member of the Party Branch of the Department of Animal Science.

Dr. Dou has been recognized as a provincial/ministerial-level talent and a Beijing High-level Innovative and Entrepreneurial Young Backbone Talent. Her expertise focuses on animal genetics and breeding, dairy cattle heat-tolerance evaluation and selection, livestock and poultry genetic-resource survey and conservation, technical standards and policy drafting, and livestock data analysis and digital platform development.

II.  Research Interests

• Dairy cattle heat-tolerance evaluation and selection

• Livestock and poultry genetic-resource survey, evaluation, and conservation

• SNP-based parentage verification and product-oriented liquid-phase chip development

• Drafting of standards, technical specifications, policy documents, and industry reports

• DHI data analysis, herd management indicators, and smart animal husbandry data platforms

III.  Research Projects

She has presided 12 national, provincial and university-level projects, among which the most important are:

1.Young Scientists Fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 32202644).

2.Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program of the Beijing High Innovation Plan (NO.20250986).

IV.  Major Achievements

She published over 20 papers, contributed to the revision of two national standards, and developed a liquid-phase chip for dairy cattle parentage verification, which provides an application-oriented foundation for herd pedigree correction, breeding cattle identity verification, and molecular breeding management. Among which the most important are:
