I. Personal information

Linshu Jiang, Ph.D., Level-II Professor, doctoral supervisor.

Prof. Jiang is a Level-II Professor at Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA). He has long been engaged in research on dairy cow nutritional immunology and unconventional feed resources. He currently serves as Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Dairy Cow Nutrition, Distinguished Research Fellow at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Adjunct Professor at Zhejiang University, and doctoral supervisor at Hebei Agricultural University.

Prof. Jiang is the Chief Scientist of a National Key R&D Program project under China's 14th Five-Year Plan. He is an expert receiving the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, a Shennong Leading Talent of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, an Outstanding Scientific and Technological Management Talent with Prominent Contributions in Beijing, an Outstanding Communist Party Member of Beijing, an Outstanding Communist Party Member of Beijing Universities, a Beijing Great Wall Scholar, a Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star, a Beijing-level candidate of the New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project, an Outstanding Contribution Expert among China's Excellent Dairy Industry Workers, Chief Expert of the Livestock and Poultry Health Advisory Expert Group of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, a position scientist of the Beijing Livestock Innovation Team, and recipient of the 2024 China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Individual Award.

Prof. Jiang has established regular cooperation mechanisms with internationally renowned universities, including the University of Alberta in Canada and Wageningen University in the Netherlands, covering major research projects, talent training, and technical exchange, thereby promoting international cooperation and development in the dairy industry.

Academic appointments

Prof. Jiang serves as Vice President of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Vice President of the Beijing Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Vice President of the Beijing Dairy Industry Association, Executive Council Member of the Dairy Association of China, and Executive Council Member of the Information Technology Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.

II. Research interests

Dairy cow nutritional immunology, unconventional feed resources, feed-derived natural plant active substances, precision nutrition, healthy dairy farming, and green production technologies for dairy cattle.

IV. Major Achievements

He has long focused on the research and application of dairy cow nutritional immunology and feed-derived natural plant active substances. He has published more than 300 academic papers, including 118 SCI-indexed papers, among which 10 are high-quality papers in CAS Q1 journals with impact factors of 10 or above. His publications have been cited more than 2,300 times. He has published 21 books, including 2 academic monographs and 2 textbooks selected as the first batch of planned textbooks by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as first editor-in-chief. He has been granted 22 patents, contributed to 3 national standards or related standards, achieved 3 scientific and technological outcomes assessed as internationally advanced overall and internationally leading in part, won 1 Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 14 provincial or ministerial awards, and supervised more than 50 postdoctoral researchers, doctoral students, and master's students.
