The Beijing Qualifying Round for the 15th National College Students' E-commerce "Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship" Competition recently came to a close, gathering 3,360 teams from 32 universities and colleges in Beijing. The "Heyi Technology", invented by the team advised by Professor Wang Yaying of BUA's College of Landscape Architecture and Associate Professor Jiang Jing of BUA's College of Economics and Management, and headed by Wang Jingxuan, a postgraduate of BUA's College of Landscape Architecture, was awarded the first prize.

After on-site defense, project presentation, and Q&A with judges, "Heyi Technology", invented by the team led by Wang Jingxuan, finally won the first prize. Wang Yaying was named an excellent advisor. Focusing on the application of AI to manufacturing, the team converted the conceptual design into an actionable project. The award demonstrated the practical ability of BUA's interdisciplinary team. From tackling technical challenges to constructing sound business logics, the teachers and students on the team have leveraged their solid academic knowledge and rich project experience to achieve a leap from theory to practice.

BUA has always viewed the training of students' innovation and entrepreneurship abilities a major part of the cultivation of new-type talents who fully understand and passionately love agriculture. Through the training mode that combines supervisors, projects, and teams, it encourages students to play a role in helping their peers in scientific research innovation and competition practice. Going ahead, BUA will further deepen the reform of the talent cultivation mechanism, promoting learning through competition and cultivating talents through innovation, so as to build a broader platform of practice for students and empower the students to ride the tide of innovation.
