The 8th National College Students Veterinary Medicine (Undergraduate) Skills Competition, sponsored by the Chinese Dean Association of Veterinary Medicine Colleges, the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association, and the China Agricultural University, and undertaken by the Northeast Agricultural University, recently took place at the Northeast Agricultural University. The competition drew nearly 1,000 students and advisors from 70 colleges and universities from home and abroad, the biggest number of participants in its history. The team from BUA's College of Animal Science and Technology stood out in the competition by winning the grand prize. This fully demonstrated the students' excellent practical abilities and professional competence in the field of veterinary medicine.

It's learned that since it was launched in 2010, the National College Students Veterinary Medicine (Undergraduate) Skills Competition has been designed to train practical talents, and guided by the philosophy of "promoting learning, teaching, improvement and building through competition". So far, the competition has developed into a signature event endorsed by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Veterinary Medicine in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, as well as a national and authoritative professional skills competition for college students in the field of veterinary medicine, becoming an important means to improve the quality of training veterinary talents and their practical skills.
