At the event, the 2025 Guide Dog Training Class officially commenced, with the first nine trainee dogs making an appearance led by their trainers. Last May, nine guide dog puppies, jointly bred and introduced through a collaboration between the Beijing Guide Dog Training Base and the Guangzhou Guide Dog School, entered foster homes where they received meticulous care and socialization training from their "foster parents". On the day of the event, these nine puppies were handed over to the Beijing Guide Dog Training Base to begin their formal training. These nine guide dog "trainees" will undergo 12 major training modules, including basic obedience, directional travel, obstacle avoidance, and public transport adaptation. After rigorous assessment, they will complete their transformation from "cute pets" to "messengers of light".
