The 2024 World Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Beijing from October 10th to 12th, 2024. During the conference, the parallel conference on agricultural science and technology cooperation between China and Africa, jointly organized by Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA), was successfully held on October 11th at the Jinhaihu International Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference, with the theme of "Opportunities and Challenges of Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation between China and Africa", gathered hundreds of guests including governmental officials, technical experts, and entrepreneurs from universities, research institutes, and international organizations from both sides. Prof. Wu Yan, Vice president of BUA, was invited to attend the meeting and participate in the roundtable forum.

Prof. Wu Yan gave a speech on hot topics such as agricultural technology cooperation and talent exchange between China and Africa, agricultural investment and industrial development between China and Africa. She stated that BUA has fully implemented the BUA Global Strategic Partnership Program and has established cooperative relationships with more than 40 universities in 17 countries and regions. BUA has and will continue to promoted mutual benefit and win-win cooperations in the agricultural field between China and Africa.

To ensure the success of the conference, BUA recruited volunteers to serve and ensure the successful of the conference. During the conference, the volunteers of BUA carried out various volunteer services such as material preparation, guidance for attendees, and conference services, which received widespread appraise from the conference organizers and participants.
