During September 17-21, at the invitation of relevant universities, colleges and institutions in the UK, a team led by Zhang Jinbai, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of BUA, visited the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and the University of Hull in the UK, and attended the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 held by Harper Adams University, a British university that BUA collaborates on a joint education program.

During the visit, BUA’s team detailed BUA’s information and educational characteristics, and learned about the practice and experience of British universities in student cultivation and infrastructure construction. It also had in-depth discussions and exchanges with heads of relevant universities, colleges and institutions on how to expand international cooperative education, increase mutual visits and exchanges between teachers and students, and jointly cultivate high-caliber talents. The parties also reached a number of consensuses, and further defined the areas, forms and contents of future cooperation. This provides strong support for both sides to deepen exchanges and cooperation, boost international influence, and drive the high-quality development of the universities.

During the visit, the team had talks with Professor Ken Sloan, President of Harper Adams University and representatives of relevant departments and schools, jointly reviewing the history of the cooperative education program between the two universities, fully affirming the results achieved so far, and reaching the intention of cooperation on expanding the program of teacher exchanges. The team was invited to the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 held by Harper Adams University, where Zhang Jinbai was invited to award graduation certificates to BUA’s graduates of 2024 who studied in the UK under the Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education Program, extending sincere congratulations to them for successfully completing the program. Professor Zhang also made a special trip to visit BUA’s students of 2025 under the cooperative education program who just arrived in the UK.

Liu Fang, Dean of College of Economics and Management, and Qiu Quan, Deputy Dean of College of Intelligent Science and Engineering, joined the visit.
