I. Majors and Programs

Here are 8 majors of bachelor program whose duration are 4 years and 6 majors of master program whose duration are 2 years in our university that recruit international students, and the courses are taught in Chinese and English or English. The programs of Beijing University of Agriculture for international students are as follows:

II. Admission Eligibility and Qualifications

1. Applicants should observe the laws and decrees of China as well as the rules and regulations of the university, and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people. In the meantime, they should be of good moral character, no criminal record and in good health.

2. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports, between the ages of 18 to 40. Applicants under the age of 18 must have a guardian in Beijing.

3. With both or one of the parents is Chinese citizen and resides outside China, the applicant who acquired a foreign nationality at birth shall hold a valid foreign nationality certificate for at least 4 years before applying. In addition, the applicant’s record of at least 2 years of actual residence abroad during the last 4 years must be provided. The actual residence of more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year subject to the date on the entry and exit stamp. For residences of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who immigrated to foreign countries and are applying as international students, please also follow the requirements above.

4. In principle, applicants for Bachelor’s Degree should have a certificate equivalent to Chinese high school graduation certificate,applicants for Master’s Degree should have a degree equivalent (or above) to a Bachelor’s degree from a Chinese University.

5. Applicants from non-English speaking countries should submit proof of English language proficiency( TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.0) or HSK Level 4 and above in principle. (those who have no HSK test scores, but have been tested by us and prove to have equal Chinese language level can also apply for specialty study, but they must supplement HSK test score within one year after enrollment).

III. Application Materials

1. Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students into Beijing University of Agriculture.

2. A copy of the highest academic degree and a certificate of Bachelor's Degree who applied master program recognized by the Chinese government (original documents must be shown at the time of registration). This year’s graduates shall provide their expected graduation certificates (original documents must be shown at the time of registration).

3. Transcripts: Transcripts of high school courses or undergraduate courses (original or notarized copies in Chinese or English).

4. Applicants for master program should provide personal statement (written in Chinese or English, which shall include resume, academic research results, research plan during the master's program, employment goals after graduation, etc., within 1000 words).

5. Applicants for master program should provide recommendation letters from two associate professors or above (or equivalent titles).

6. If you have passed the HSK Level 4 or above exam, you must provide a copy of HSK certificate and transcript.

7. A copy of the first page and visa pages of the applicant’s passport.

8. 6 identical photographs of passport size in white background.

9. A copy of the guarantor's valid certificate (passport or ID card).

IV. Application Method

Applicants can choose either of the following ways.

Method One: Download the Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students into Beijing University of Agriculture from the Internet and send the completed application form and application materials to the work e-mail （liuxuesheng@bua.edu.cn）of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.

Method Two: Submit paper application materials. (1) Applicants can directly submit or entrust others to submit application materials to the office of the Students’ International Affairs Department of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of BUA; (2) By mailing (see contact information for the address).

V. Application Deadline

May 31 of the year when applying for admission (the date on the postmark shall be taken as the date of delivery or receipt).

VI. Financial Matters

Tuition fee: RMB 20,000~26,000/academic year,

Accommodation fee: RMB 6000/person/academic year 

Insurance Fee: RMB 800 /year

Registration Fee: RMB 500（Non-refundable）

VII. Scholarship

In order to encourage outstanding foreign students, we provide foreign students with Beijing Scholarships for Foreign Students and BUA Scholarships for Foreign Students, except for those who have already won Beijing Scholarships for Foreign Students.
