A seminar themed "New Agricultural Sciences, New Practices and New Integration" was held on October 31, where the ways of deepening industry-academia-research integration and improving education quality were discussed.President Duan Liusheng and Vice Presidents Wu Yan and Cao Zhijun attended the seminar. Representatives from 38 Collaborative Education and Practice Bases, alongside supervisors and faculty and student representatives from BUA, engaged in in-depth discussions focused on talent cultivation, the development of practice bases, and university-enterprise collaborative education. The goal was to build bridges for university-government and university-enterprise cooperation, injecting new momentum into our practical education efforts.

In his address, Duan Liusheng pointed out that at this new stage of seeking high-quality development for agricultural modernization, the need for highly qualified applied and composite agricultural talent - individuals who understand theory yet excel in practice, and who are knowledgeable in tradition yet capable of innovation, is increasingly urgent. The practice bases are precisely the critical link connecting the education of "New Agricultural Sciences" with the demands of agricultural modernization.In the development of New Agricultural Sciences, the University has actively explored new models for cultivating talent through practical experience. By jointly establishing practice bases with multiple government agencies, research institutes, and outstanding enterprises, it has achieved remarkable results in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and social services.Facing the new developments and requirements of agricultural modernization, the practice bases still need to explore integration models, break new ground in innovation and achieve truly meaningful results.He hopes that all participants will take this seminar as an opportunity to continually explore new ideas and new pathways for the development of practice bases. We should work together to advance the "New Agricultural Sciences" education to a new level and foster a new type of agriculture-savvy talents, for playing a greater role in Beijing's goal of building a city of educational excellence.

The presentation of the plaque "Beijing University of Agriculture Collaborative Education Practice Base" by BUA's leaders marks the entry into a new phase of school-government and school-enterprise collaborative education. These bases will serve as a platform for substantive future cooperation in joint curriculum development, collaborative R&D, and internships and employment, effectively translating the integration of industry and education from a "concept" into "action."

Li Xinxu, General Manager of Beijing Cuihu Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd., is introducing their exploration and practice of school-enterprise collaborative education in his keynote speech.

Chang Mingming, Director of the Department of Bioengineering at the College of Bioscience and Resource Environment, and Yao Hua, Vice Dean of the College of Animal Science and Technology, speak as the representatives of the University contacts for the off-campus bases.
