RSAU Team Visits BUA

Both Universities Renew Cooperation Agreement

On October 29, 2025, a team led by Vladimir Trukhachev, Rector of the Russian State Agrarian University (RSAU) and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, visited BUA. They were warmly received by BUA's leaders, includingChairman of the University CouncilZhao Feng, President Duan Liusheng,Vice Chairman of the University CouncilZhong Congsheng, and Vice President Wu Yan. Both sides discussed ways to deepen academic exchanges, cooperation on scientific research, and joint cultivation of talents, and renewed the bilateral cooperation agreement.

Zhao Feng extended a warm welcome to the visiting team, and spoke highly of RSAU for its profound accumulation of knowledge in the fields of agricultural science, animal husbandry, and biotechnology, as well as its outstanding achievements made in recent years. He expressed hope that both universities will take the renewal of the agreement as another starting point, advance the upgrade of the bilateral cooperation from "experience sharing" to "joint achievement creation", and jointly write a new chapter about the Sino-Russian cooperation on agricultural science and education.

Duan Liusheng reviewed the past cooperation between the two universities for more than a decade, and highlighted BUA's progress in discipline building, scientific and technological innovation, and talent cultivation. He added, both sides enjoy a broad space for cooperation on joint dual-degree programs, teacher and student exchanges, and joint scientific research, and see bright prospects in the collaboration on smart agriculture, biotechnology, and sustainable agriculture. He further expressed expectation for a deeper level of partnership.

Vladimir Trukhachev showed thanks to BUA for its warm reception, and highly commended BUA's achievements in serving urban modern agriculture. He said, RSAU values its partnership with BUA, and expects deepened cooperation on joint student cultivation, R&D and application of smart agricultural technologies, among other areas, so as to make positive contribution to global food security and agricultural sustainability.

Duan Liusheng and Vladimir Trukhachev jointly signed theCooperation Agreement between Beijing University of Agriculture and Russian State Agrarian University.

Both sides held productive discussions on the design of joint dual-degree programs, the mechanism for teacher and student exchanges, and the joint research on intelligent agricultural technology, etc., reaching a preliminary consensus in multiple fields.

The team paid visits to the National University Science Park, municipal-level key laboratory for dairy cattle nutrition, intelligent gutter-connected greenhouse, and guide dog training base of BUA, gaining a deeper understanding of BUA's progress in scientific research, conversion of research outcomes, and unique model of talent cultivation.
