At the 2024 Annual Meeting of China Association of Agricultural Science Societies & China Modern Agricultural Development Forum recently held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, the list of China’s major new technologies, new products and new equipment (“Three New” outcomes) relating to agriculture and rural areas were unveiled. A total of nine technologies, 11 new products and 10 pieces of new equipment were included. The “Key Technology of Efficiently Raising Cows by Improving Their Health with Natural Active Substances and Its Application”, the development of which was headed by Jiang Linshu, Professor of BUA’s College of Animal Science and Technology, was on the list.

Focusing on how to improve cows’ immunity, the technology has established the theory about healthy cow raising with natural active substances, removed the technological hurdle to the application of natural active substances, developed a series of new products, and marked a significant breakthrough in the technologies key to healthy and efficient cow raising. It enjoys fully independent intellectual property rights.
