On October 24, 2025, the Beijing College Student Scientific & Technological Innovation Competition, themed "Building the Future • Talk Salon", and the Beijing College Student High-Quality Scientific & Technological Innovation Development Forum, took place at BUA under the guidance of Beijing Association For Science And Technology. The competition drew 15 teams from 13 universities and colleges across Beijing, and the forum brought together leaders of innovation and entrepreneurship education work and key teachers from 16 universities and colleges in Beijing. Duan Liusheng, Party Committee Deputy Secretary and President of BUA and Chairman of the Association for Science and Technology of BUA, attended and addressed the event.

Duan Liusheng said, as a municipal university dedicated to agriculture and forestry, BUA has taken moral education as the fundamental purpose and strengthening and revitalizing agriculture as the mission; by building industry-academia-research platforms and improving the innovation and entrepreneurship education system, it has continuously applied scientific research outcomes to serve the high-quality development of agriculture and drive rural revitalization on all fronts. He added, the Scientific & Technological Innovation Competition is a major move to promote the conversion of scientific research outcomes and cultivate agriculture-related innovation talents. He also expressed hope that the event will further inspire young students' passion for scientific and technological innovation, and inject the vigor of youth into rural revitalization.

The competition adopted an appraisal mechanism featuring 5-minute project roadshow and 3-minute expert Q&A, with participating projects spanning diverse fields such as smart breeding, ecological and environmental protection, intelligent equipment, and cultural creativity.

After intense competition, four projects were finally selected for the first prize, five for the second prize, and six for the third prize. All winning projects demonstrated a high technological content and great values of application.
