Recently, the 24th National Undergraduate Robot Competition RoboMaster 2025 University League (Northwest Division) was held at Taiyuan University of Technology, which was participated by more than 500 students and teachers from 34 universities across the country. The "Ginkgo Squad“ composed by seven students from the College of Intelligent Science and Engineering - Han Jian, Lv Fangzheng, Li Manning, Fan Xinze, Ma Yan, Zhao Weihang and Gao Yong, coached by their teacher Fan Zhengqiang, won the third prize in the Infantry Match of the RoboMaster 2025 University League.
RoboMaster University Series are robot competitions co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the All-China Students' Federation, and organized by Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI). Since its inception in 2013, the Competition has attracted competitors from about 400 university around the world each year. The competition integrated technologies such as "machine vision", "embedded system design", "mechanical control", "inertial navigation", "human-computer interaction" and 'fully automated control,' and innovatively combined e-sports presentation with robot competition, to make robot combat more visually impactful. It aims to promote robot technology exchange between regional universities, foster a strong academic atmosphere, and drive regional scientific and technological innovation. The completion consists of three events - the 3V3 Match, the Infantry Match and the new-added Engineer Challenge.
