BUA Students Shine in the 17th Skiing Competition for Universities and Colleges in Beijing with 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze and Top Score in Group B

The 17th Skiing Competition for Universities and Colleges in Beijing, guided by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, sponsored by Beijing College Students Sports Association and organized by the University of International Business and Economics, took place recently. More than 270 athletes from 42 universities and colleges in Beijing competed intensely in three events, namely Alpine Giant Slalom, Alpine Slalom and Snowboard Giant Slalom. BUA’s skiing team won the top score in Group B with three golds, one silver and one bronze in the competition.

It’s reported that the competition witnessed the record numbers of participating athletes and schools in its history, once again setting off a craze for skiing among college students in Beijing.

Thanks to the careful coaching by Liu Junzhan and Pan Ziqiu, athletes on BUA’s skiing team, by fighting hard and pushing themselves to the limit, achieved impressive results in all events. Wang Bingsen from the College of International Education took the crown in both Alpine Giant Slalom (Men’s Group B) and Alpine Slalom (Men’s Group B); Hao Zimeng from the College of Landscape Architecture won the championship in Snowboard Giant Slalom (Women’s Group B); Wang Jingshu from the College of International Education took the second place in Alpine Giant Slalom (Women’s Group B); Li Ruixun from the College of Economics and Management was the third winner in Snowboard Giant Slalom (Men’s Group B); Yang Zhanbin from the College of Food Science and Engineering came fifth in Alpine Giant Slalom (Men’s Group B); and Cai Ziwen from the College of Animal Science and Technology ranked sixth in Snowboard Giant Slalom (Women’s Group B).
