2+8! The Number of BUA Teachers and Students Receiving Scholarships from China Scholarship Council to Study Abroad Reached New High

Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the admission results of the 2024 CSC Scholarship Program-High Level Graduate Program, the International Cooperation Program and the Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program.BUA's two teachers and eight postgraduate students received funding, accounting for 91% of the total number of applications from BUA. All the applications for the Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program were approved. Both the number of approved applicants and the approval rate reached a historical high.

Liu Xuping, a student of the School of Landscape Architecture, received a scholarship from the International Cooperation Program and will go to the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands to pursue a doctorate degree. He is the first student of BUA who has received funding from an international program. Li Shunlei, a student of the College of Bioscience and Resource Environment, was admitted to the CSC Scholarship Program-High Level Graduate Program and will go to the University of Padova in Italy to pursue a doctorate degree. Zhu Yichen, a student of the College of Plant Science and Technology and Lv Ying, a teacher and Wei Zhicheng, Tan Xinyue, and Lu Qian, the students of the College of Food Science and Engineering received special funding from the Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program in Grapes and Wine Internationalization, and will study in Harper Adams University in the UK, Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in New Zealand, and Lincoln University in New Zealand, respectively. Liu Xuewei, a teacher, and Yue Yi and Zhang Wenjing, the students of the College of Animal Science and Technology, received special funding from the Rural Revitalization Talent Training Program for animal health and breeding, and will study at the University of Torino in Italy and the University of Padova in Italy, respectively.

It is reported that the China Scholarship Council establishes and implements the government-sponsored programs to serve the strategy of building a country with strong talent, promote the construction of high-level universities, enhance their ability to serve the construction of an innovative country, and focus on cultivating a group of top innovative talents with international vision, knowledge of international rules, and the ability to participate in international affairs and competition.

BUA attaches great importance to the implementation of the government-funded overseas study programs, adheres to the principle of "early publicity, early deployment, and early implementation", continues to increase publicity of the government-sponsored programs, provides relevant training and services, and encourages teachers and students to make full use of high-quality international education resources and visit, exchange and study at prestigious overseas universities.In recent years, the number of BUA students admitted to the CSC-sponsored programs has continued to grow, and this has become one of the important channels for the school to vigorously promote the internationalization of talent training.The school will continue to enrich and improve the all-round and in-depth pattern of foreign exchanges and cooperation, gather high-quality agricultural education resources at home and abroad, and continuously improve the quality of cultivating new talents who know and love agriculture, to provide strong talent support for the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization and the construction of a country with strong agriculture.
