On the evening of November 29, BUA Women's Choir and the Harmonia Choir co-presented a world-famous songs choral concert themed "Voices Unchained" at the Forbidden City Concert Hall. Professor Reed Criddle from the US Utah Valley University and Associate Professor Zhang Lin from BUA jointly acted as conductors. BUA's President Duan Liusheng, Vice Chairman of the University Council Zheng Pinshi and Vice President Zhang Jinbai attended the concert, sharing the achievements of aesthetic education with nearly 1,000 audience members from across Beijing.

At the concert, BUA Women's Choir successively performed pieces including Alily, Green Hope, and Lily Flower. Professor Reed Criddle provided a vivid and detailed description of the musical context. Full of passion, the choir members expressed the artistic conception of the Chinese and foreign masterpieces, demonstrating solid professional skills and an impressive power of artistic expression, which earned them waves of applause from the audience.

Professor Wu Lingfen, a renowned expert at aesthetic education, said after the performance, "The collaboration marks a perfect union of campus aesthetic education and professional art." Presented by two choirs and both Chinese and foreign musicians, the concert served as a high-level artistic exchange platform for BUA students, helping them broaden their artistic horizons and enhance their professional competence.

As a key part of the BUA's "Aesthetic Education Classroom" initiative, the concert showcased the solid achievements BUA has made in aesthetic education. BUA will continue to uphold the concept of "cultivating people through aesthetics and culture", expand the platforms for aesthetic education, carry out more high-quality art activities, to help students improve their aesthetic literacy, cultivate sentiments, and nourish their souls.

Since its establishment in 2010, BUA Women's Choir has stayed true to its original aspiration, continuously conducting aesthetic education practices. The choir has successively participated in major events, such as the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. It has won honors including the third prize in the International Habaneras Choir Competition in Spain and the gold medal in the Beijing College Student Music Festival, and collaborated with many overseas universities on cultural exchange performances.
