The 2026 BUA–Kutafin Moscow State Law University Exchange Student Program officially got underway on September 9. Wu Yan, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of the University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

Representing BUA, Wu Yan welcomed the exchange students from Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) and thanked the faculty and staff at both universities for their work in preparing the Program. She noted that international educational exchange creates opportunities for academic ideas to be shared across borders while also fostering friendship among young people from different countries. The exchange program, now entering its third year, reflects the solid foundation of cooperation between BUA and MSAL and their shared commitment to strengthening educational exchange. Wu Yan encouraged the students to make the most of their time at BUA, both academically and culturally. In addition to focusing on their studies, she encouraged them to step beyond the classroom and campus, learn more about China's development, and experience the richness of Chinese culture. She also hoped they would become young ambassadors of friendship between China and Russia, helping build bridges for youth, cultural and academic exchange between the two countries.

The MSAL students expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful arrangements and support provided by BUA and its faculty. During their time at BUA, they said they would actively engage in both academic study and campus life, deepen their understanding of Chinese law, and explore the similarities and differences between the legal systems of China and other countries. They also hoped the program would provide a strong foundation for their future involvement in international cooperation in the field of the rule of law.

BUA and MSAL have now offered the exchange program for three consecutive years. Over that period, cooperation between the two universities has continued to deepen, with the program expanding in scope and becoming more substantive and well established. The program has also provided new momentum for BUA to expand international educational cooperation and further develop high-quality international talent.
