The final round of the 7th National Undergraduate Animal Science Professional Skills Competition was recently held at Hunan Agricultural University. The team representing BUA's College of Animal Science and Technology demonstrated a solid foundation in animal science, strong practical skills, and excellent teamwork, winning First Prize in the team competition and First Prize in the individual event for Ecological Smart Livestock Farm Planning and Design.

The competition is one of the most widely participated in and influential national-level competitions in the field of animal science. A total of 75 university teams from across China competed in this year's event.

During the five months of preparation, the College of Animal Science and Technology attached great importance to the competition and assembled a faculty coaching team led by Ms. Cao Suying. The team provided comprehensive guidance throughout the preparation process, covering project design, theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and teamwork. The student participants made full use of their spare time, weekends, and holidays for intensive training. For the ecological smart livestock farm planning and design event, they continuously refined their project proposals and presentation slides, carefully reviewing every aspect of their plans and presentations. For the practical skills events, they repeatedly practiced operating procedures and technical standards, identifying problems and refining details through hands-on training at poultry and pig farms, as well as simulated competitions. Through close collaboration, they continued to strengthen their overall capabilities.
