On June 10, BUA dragon boat teams attended the 2013 Third Beijing Collegiate Dragon Boat Championship & Beijing Dragon Boat Series Activities in Xiadu Park, Yanqing County. The event was organized by Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau and Yanqing County People’s Government and undertaken by Beijing Dragon Boat Association, Beijing Collegiate Athletic Association, Yanqing County Sports Bureau, Yanqing County Cultural Commission and Yanqing County Garden and Landscaping Bureau. Our teams competed with 21 teams from 13 universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University to jointly celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. 

In the morning, two preliminary matches were held at first. Our “T-rex” team set out in the first group and ended up with the first place. The News Channel of Beijing Satellite TV live telecast the matches. After two rounds of preliminary matches, our “T-rex” team entered the final competition in the fifth place. In the end, it got the fifth place. Our another representative team “Dream Team” won a prize of excellence. 

    From the competition, our representative teams learned the dragon boat sprite of hardworking and teamwork and won honor for BUA.
