Yun-Cong Yao (Professor, Ph. D):

Native place is in Shanxi; gained Ph.D degree at China agriculture University in 1998. Professor in College of plant science and technology, Beijing University of Agriculture; Master’s tutor; Ph.D supervisor in Southwest University. As a senior visiting scholar in the Ohio state university/Ohio agricultural research and development center.

Expert of the State Council government special allowance; Deputy Head of Beijing University of Agriculture.

Research Interests:

My research group mainly focuses on two areas: Ornamental crabapple germplasm resources innovation and metabolism of anthocyanins molecular biology research, Orchard ecosystem regulation and improvement. Specific as follows:

1) Ornamental crabapple germplasm resources construction and evaluation;

2) Breeding high anthocyanins variety;

3) Molecular biology metabolic mechanism of anthocyanins;

4) Aromatic plants germplasm resources construction and intercropping techniques in orchard

5) Regulation mechanism of intercropping aromatic plants on arthropod community

Effect of intercropping aromatic plants on soil microorganism and nutrient

6) Plant-derived nutrient solution and organic fertilizer research and development and application technology
