Guo Bei

Bei Guo, from Beijing, professor of College of Biological Science and Engineering, Master’s tutor, director of biotechnology department. Obtained Ph. D. degree from Beijing Forestry University, studied abroad in Biological Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Teach courses "genetics", "biological statistics" and "human genetics" for undergraduate, "molecular genetics" and “principle of gene engineering” for graduate students. Acquired many teaching awards, Winner of Beijing young and middle-aged backbone teachers in 2007 and a model of impart knowledge and educate people in Beijing university of agriculture in 2010.

Major research fields are molecular biology and gene engineering in plant stress tolerance. Preside and participate in the scientific research projects supported by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, the program for excellent talents, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863) et al. More than 50 papers were published with 6 indexed by EI. Obtained the second class of Beijing science and technology progress award and the People's Republic of invention patent. Current works are mainly focused on the expression regulation of genes related to trehalose metabolic pathway in plant, gene expression located in specific tissue and gene transformation to different plants.
