Guo Yong

Guo Yong, who was born in 1963, got his Ph.D from China Agricultural University in 2001. From 2003 to 2005, he was as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Division of Reproductive and Developmental Biology in the Department of Pediatrics of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN (mentor: S.K. Dey). He has been the professor and  supervisor of graduate students in Beijing University of Agriculture since 2007. In 2006, he was selected as a fellow of the Funding Project for Academic Human Resources Development in Institutions of Higher Learning Under the Jurisdiction of Beijing Municipality( PHB or IHLB )and in 2013, he was selected as a PI of The Project of Construction of Innovative Teams and Teacher Career Development for Universities and Colleges Under Beijing Municipality (from 2013 to 2015). Meanwhile, he was also the main member of Animal Propagation Association Division of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and the main member Beijing Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Guo’s special field has been focused on Animal Reproductive Physiology (especially focused on early implantation of livestock, the propagation character of breeder cock and their nutrition) and Animal Biotechnology. At present, he has got the financial support from more than 20 grants. Among them, 3 grants belonged to National Key Scientific and Technological Grant of China for Breeding New Transgenic Animals and Plants---Sub-grants, 2 items belonged to National Fund for Natural Sciences of China, the others belonged respectively to National Eleventh “5-year-plan” “863 High Tech Major Plan” of  China---Sub-grant, Municipal Key Fund for Natural Sciences of Beijing Municipal Government, and the Project of Construction of Innovative Teams and Teacher Career Development for Universities and Colleges Under Beijing Municipality. In addition, he was also selected as one of the main scientist of China Agriculture Research System Poultry-related Science and Technology Innovation Team of Peking. He has published for more than 70 papers, and among them, 11 were respectively published in Nature MedicinePNASJCIJBC and BOR. The highest impact factor of his first author’s paper was 5.85Journal of Biological Chemistry),and their total impact factors got to 86.0.
