Curriculum Vitae

Shi Yajun, born in Beijing and graduated from Beijing Agriculture University, now is a professor and master tutor in Rural Economics Management of the School of Economics Management, Beijing University of Agriculture (BUA). As an expert in Urban Agriculture, he is the head of the Institute for Urban Agriculture Research, BUA and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Urban Agriculture and Leisure Agriculture Branch of China Agronomy Society.

With rich experiences in rural and agriculture research, Professor Shi has completed more than 30 planning and research programs, e. g, the Guideline for Leisure Agriculture Development During the 12th Five-Year Plan Period, which is the first leisure agriculture development plan on the national level, was issued by Ministry of Agriculture, China in 2011. Now he opens the courses of Introduction to Leisure Agriculture and Introduction to Urban Agriculture for undergraduate student.
